About Us
Founded in 1983 and chartered in 1986, Boost KC (formerly known as Assistance League of Kansas City) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to serving the greater Kansas City community through compassionate philanthropic services. Managed entirely by over 300 committed and passionate volunteers—and with no paid staff—Boost KC raises its own funds to fuel impactful programs and initiatives. Our new name, Boost KC, truly captures our heartfelt mission: to support and uplift individuals and communities, providing them with the encouragement and resources they need to create brighter futures filled with hope and opportunity.
